It Came and Went So Fast
I can not believe that Christmas has already come and gone. We had an absolutely wonderful Christmas this year. It is difficult to believe that this time last year Miles was not even born yet! I was very (bad) and pregnant women there was a huge cloud of uncertainty over his next birth. As you can see, things were better than anyone could have imagined. I am so happy that God is the author of life and is in control of all things. Miles is not really sure what to think of all the gifts and the people, but it was a great athlete and has been a good boy, despite our karting near him, and be away from home for so long.
It was the first year that Greta really understood that Christmas is Jesus Birthday. She said she wanted some of Jesus’ birthday cake and she wanted to see God. With all the bustle of the season, we still have to make our birthday cake for Jesus. We will probably do it tomorrow night. I really think it is a great, memorable for the children to celebrate Jesus’ Birthday.
On opening was present with Greta, well-playful, she insisted that all present was for both her and her.
The children received sooooo many toys and books! I think I’ll do what I did last year and set aside some of them to open a couple of months. Two children with birthdays around Christmas, we receive many gifts at once.
Christmas Eve we spent with my family, my parents, my brother Greg, who flew in from LA, my sister and her boyfriend Jill Christian who flew in from Switzerland and my little brother Eric. It was a huge blessing to see my brothers and sisters that I rarely see. My brother Chris was unable to come, but 4 out of 5 is not too bad! Tonight, we enjoyed our traditional soup clam chowder and other goodies.
Christmas Day we woke up and opened presents with my family, then the direction of Joe’s Mothers home for a late lunch, more present and still the best cheesecake!
